  • Drug depression of respiratory centre
  • CNS injury
  • Hypoventilation of obesity
  • Cervical cord lesion (at or above C4)
  • Tetanus
  • Poliomyelitis
  • Cardiac arrest with cerebral hypoxia
A.2. Nerve/muscle disorder
  • Guillain-Barre syndrome
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Muscle relaxant drugs
