Stimulation of anterior hypothalamus causes

  • Reduction in BP
  • Reduction in HR

Stimulation of posterior hypothalamus causes

  • Increase in BP
  • Increase in HR

 

Note:

  • cf. stimulation of posterior hypothalamus leads to heat production and increase in temperature
